Letter sent out in advance Summer 1996

To:

All registered participants in the AVS 6 course: "Hypermedia: a tool for humanities studies?"
Fall 1996 Bologna, 31.07.1996

Hello!

I am writing this to you from Bologna in Italy, where I am staying at the moment, in order to make a short request from all of you who are registered for the AVS 6 course this coming Fall.

I will be teaching this course in the Fall semester, and in order to make the curriculum as functional as possible, and to ensure it will be adapted to your different needs and presuppositions in advance, I would like to put to you some questions now at the end of the summer.

Since we plan to carry out part of the course in the Fall through active use of the Internet for teaching and discussions, it would be very useful in advance - for both me and for you - to find out what kind of knowledge and experience you have of this kind of technology.

I am doing this to begin with in the form of a short questionnaire which you will find below.

When you have read through and answered the questions below, I would be very greatful of you can send it to the following address before the beginning of the semester on August 26th:

Research Fellow Patrick J. Coppock

Department of Applied Linguistics

NTNU

Faculty of Arts and Science

N-7055 Dragvoll

If you have access to e-mail you can of course send the answers directly to me (just use the numbers of the questions to indicate which one you are answering in each case) at the following e-mail address:

patcop@bo.nettuno.it

Those of you who have access to the World Wide Web will find the questions (unfortunately not as an interactive form this time) in electronic form at the following http address:

http://anvpc.avh.unit.no/AVS6SS.html

If you answer bu e-mail, it will not be necessary to send me the paper version as well.

In advance, thanks for your co-operation, and looking forward to meeting you all at the orientation meeting on August 26th!

With best wishes

Patrick J. Coppock

Research Fellow
